Areas We Cover Across Scotland
We arrange no-obligation home energy surveys throughout Scotland — from the Highlands to the Borders, the Central Belt to the islands where access allows.
Scottish Energy Efficiency is based in Dundee and arranges home energy surveys across the length and breadth of Scotland. Because we work through a network of specialists and an MCS-certified installation partner, we are able to cover a wide geographic area — from urban tenements and new-build estates to rural cottages and remote highland properties. Wherever you are in Scotland, get in touch with your postcode and we will confirm whether we can arrange a survey for you.
Scotland's housing stock is unusually varied. In Edinburgh and Glasgow's older districts, sandstone tenements and Victorian villas present different insulation and heating challenges from the post-war estates of Dundee or the new developments around Aberdeen and the Lothians. Rural properties — from Borders farmhouses to highland crofts — often rely on oil or LPG heating and may benefit significantly from a heat pump. Our specialists are experienced with this range of property types and tailor their recommendations accordingly.
Below are the main regions we cover. If your town or area is not listed explicitly, it does not mean we cannot help — the list is indicative, and we regularly arrange surveys in smaller communities across each region. The best way to find out is to send us your postcode via the quote form or to call us on 0141 230 0198.

If your area is not listed
The list above covers the main regions, but Scotland has hundreds of towns and villages, and we cannot list them all. If you live somewhere not mentioned — a smaller village, a hamlet, or a remote rural property — please still get in touch. As long as we can reach you safely, we can usually arrange a survey. Send us your postcode through the quote form or call us, and we will let you know straight away whether coverage is available in your location.
Surveys are arranged at a time that suits you, including Saturdays where available. For more remote locations, we may combine visits in an area to keep travel efficient, which can occasionally affect available dates — we will discuss this with you when booking.
We install through MCS-certified partners. Loans available, subject to status. 0% VAT applies on solar panels and battery storage until 31 March 2027.
